This charitable organization is who OVACC partners with in Belarus to find the children who need our help.  The information provided is from the literature they produce.

Belarusian Charitable Association "Hope for the Future" is an independent civil inititative.  It unites people who want to help Belarusian children, suffering from the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster.

The health and the life of Belarusian children are in great danger.  Belarus is not capable of eliminating the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear catastrophe by itself.  That is why we apply for international support and assistance.  Only this support can help to save the future of Belarusian children and the nation as a whole.

The goal of the Belarusian Charitable Association Hope for the Future is to bring together people of good will in Belarus and from all over the world in their efforts to change the fate of the kids who have become victims of the nuclear plant explosion in Chernobyl.

Hope for the Future focuses on:

  • facilitating health rehabilitation opportunitites for the children of Chernobyl
  • arranging courses of treatment and rehabilitation for sick children in clinics abroad
  • promoting relief programs for disabled children, children in large families and families in need
  • rendering assistance to orphanage houses, boarding schools, family-type orphanage houses, kindergartens for kids with special needs and families of disabled children
  • raising relief for local hospitals and health centres
  • giving support to ensure children's rehabilitation at home
  • organizing special events for children with different physical abilities
